Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1468758A1] Female mold (1) for a tool kit for mechanically joining metal sheets lying flat on top of each other by shaping defines a cavity (2) containing an anvil (3) lying opposite a punch, and mold segments (9) arranged on the anvil and defining the periphery of the cavity. The mold segments are arranged on a support surface so that they can be displaced outward against spring pre-tension. The mold is peripherally enclosed by a mold sleeve (8) having individual segment guides (10) following the division of the mold segments in the peripheral direction and forming guide tracks extending through the mold sleeve. The mold segments in the form of sliding parts with a protrusion (12) are guided in the segment guides so that they can be displaced outward.
