Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2006029882A2] The invention relates to a method and to a device for automatically searching for a similar or same computer-accessible construction model of an electronic library. The invention also relates to several construction models of components. In a first phase, a substitute construction model is calculated for each of said construction models and then a set of values of attributes (att_1, ) of the construction model is calculated using said substitute model. In a second phase, a computer-accessible outline (Ent) of a component is provided. A substitute outline (E-Ent) and a set (P_ E) of attribute values for the substitute outline (E-Ent) are calculated. The distance (dist_ 1, ) of the attribute value-set of said construction model for the attribute value set of the substitute outline (E-Ent) is calculated for each predetermined construction model. The same construction model which has the smallest distance to the outline (Ent) is determined.
