Abstract (en)

[origin: EP1992769A1] The invention relates to a manufacturing process and a multifunctional tubular post for fences obtained thereby, the posts (1) being used as support for a fence with wire netting, each of the posts having a plurality of joining elements (2-2'), the process comprising the steps of cutting from a laminated sheet reel a sheet portion (3), folding said sheet portion until achieving a tubular body, the free ends thereof being opposite, and joining said free ends. The process additionally comprises a cold-forming step between the cutting step and the folding step in order to define a plurality of grooves (4-5), the position and shape of which coincide with the position and shape of the joining elements (2-2'), the length of the mentioned grooves (4-5) being equivalent to the length of the outer contour of the joining elements (2-2').
