[origin: EP2012250A2] The method involves comparing a saw tooth or triangle signal with an input voltage (U2) by a comparator (KO1) so that a pulse-width-modulated signal is generated as a comparison signal (SIG1out). An input voltage (U1) of the triangle signal or a voltage proportional to the voltage (U1) and the signal are supplied to a controller (REG1) such that an upper peak value of the triangle signal is readjusted. A reference potential and the triangle signal are supplied to another controller (REG2) such that a lower peak value of the triangle signal is readjusted to a value of the potential. An independent claim is also included for an analog divider having a saw tooth or a triangle signal generator.
