The machine (1) has a subset of forming stations (3, 3'') equipped with roll-forming tools (9) in such a manner that the tools work on an area of a metal band or an outlet profile, where the area is arranged in a left-side in a working direction (14). Another subset of forming stations (3', 3''') is equipped with roll-forming tools that work on an area arranged in the working direction. The former subset of stations is adjustable transverse to the working direction by servomotors (15) independent of the latter subset of stations. An independent claim is also included for a method for longitudinal forming of a metal band or outlet profile into a profile or tube.

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Profiliermaschine und ein Verfahren zum Längs-Umformen eines Metallbandes oder Ausgangsprofils in ein Profil oder Rohr mittels einer Mehrzahl von Rollumformwerkzeugen, wobei zumindest ein Teil der Rollumformwerkzeuge 9 zu mehreren, in Arbeitsrichtung 14 hintereinander angeordneten Werkzeuggruppen 9, 17 zusammengefasst ist, die jeweils in einem Gerüst 4 gehalten sind und mit diesem jeweils eine Umformstation 3 bilden und wobei die Gerüste 4 im Wesentlichen quer zur Arbeitsrichtung 14 verstellbar gehalten sind. Eine erste Teilmenge von Umformstationen 3, 3", 3"" ... ist so mit Rollumformwerkzeugen 9 bestückt, dass diese nur auf einen in Arbeitsrichtung 14 links befindlichen Bereich des Metallbandes oder Ausgangsprofils umformend einwirken, während eine zweite Teilmenge von Umformstationen 3', 3"' so mit Rollumformwerkzeugen 9 bestückt ist, dass diese nur auf einen in Arbeitsrichtung 14 befindlichen Bereich des Metallbandes oder Ausgangsprofils umformend einwirken, wobei die erste Teilmenge von Umformstationen unabhängig von der zweiten Teilmenge von Umformstationen quer zur Arbeitsrichtung verstellt wird oder umgekehrt, um die eingeformte Profilbreite zu verändern, ohne ein Neujustieren der Rollumformwerkzeuge vornehmen zu müssen.
