[origin: EP2343260A1] The method involves implementing a production beginning mode in which controller controls an adjustment device (36) at a determined reference value and controls the adjustment device at desired distance for a production. A gap between a set of parallel folding rollers (32) is adjusted by an adjustment device. The determined reference value is maintained during a determined duration, where the reference value corresponds to a minimum distance and a gap of a previous production. An independent claim is also included for a chopper folder comprising a pair of parallel folding rollers.
