In order to achieve a significantly improved mixture preparation and combustion of the fuel-air mixture in the combustion chamber (15), the two injection valves (28, 29) are designed so that the first injection valve (28) sprays a widely spread spray cone (34) having a large cone angle and the second injection valve (29) sprays an only slightly spread spray cone (35) having a significantly smaller cone angle.
