[origin: EP2380676A1] The method involves plastically deforming bending goods i.e. tubular bending goods (5), at a bending station of a bending machine by bending units (6a-6c) in a meander-shaped manner. A part of the bending units is moved towards the bending station between a working position (AP1) in which the bending goods are moved before deformation, and another working position in which the bending goods are released after the deformation. The bending goods are aligned by an aligning unit (3) of the machine while the aligning unit is moved away from the bending station or towards the bending station.
