Abstract (en)
[origin: EP2455697A1] The box has a plane collector plate (5) comprising openings for passage of aluminum heat exchange tubes (3). A sealing ring (9) is arranged on a periphery of the plate. An arch-shaped plastic cover has a peripheral cover base (11) closing the box by compressing the ring. The base is in form of a castellation with alternating holes (13) and protrusions (15) axially extending toward the plate. The holes are arranged opposite the openings to maintain the ring between the tubes during assembling the box, where width of the base is less than or equal to width of the compressed ring. An independent claim is also included for a brazed heat exchanger of a motor vehicle, comprising heat exchange tubes.
