Abstract (en)
[origin: WO2011026488A1] Known passage barriers, such as the type which comprise a sliding door with sliding leaves, can be displaced back and forth between an open and a closed position. Said type of passage barriers are often installed next to each other in a large number in entrances of public buildings, in stadiums or event halls. Due to the fact that the siding doors need to be moved completely from the passage when in the open position, the sliding leaf needs to be as small possible in order to open the through-passage as much as possible. The aim of the invention is provide a passage barrier having a narrow sliding leaf which can block the passage to a large extent. To this aim, the claimed passage barrier comprises a sliding leaf on which an additional rotatable leaf is articulated on a rotational leaf axis. The rotating leaf enters into the passage and widens with the sliding leaf in a manner parallel to the withdrawal of the sliding leaf.
