[origin: WO2011083028A2] Device to dampen the impact when a pipe or a stand of pipes falls down in a mouse hole device, said mouse hole device comprises at least one tube (1) with a bottom that is set up to receive a pipe or a pipe stand (25). The at least one tube (1) is connected to a first end of at least one stretch element (8) which at its other end is connected to a deck (2) or a structure (27) which has a fixed connection to the deck (2) and that the at least one stretch element (8) is set up to go through a plastic deformation without breaking when it is subjected to a falling pipe (25) or pipe stand that exceeds a certain kinetic energy.
