The method involves passing a sheet material (15) through surface treatment devices e.g. radiation/drying device (12) and powdering device (17), during conveyance of the material along conveyance direction (6). Minimum and maximum widths of the sheet material in two format classes are considered to be in specified ranges without allowance. Clear height between the treatment devices and a sheet transporting plane is maintained to be lesser than 45 mm in one format class and to be lesser than 65mm in the other format class. The minimum width and maximum widths of the sheet material in one format class are considered to be greater than 450 mm and lesser than 1100 mm, respectively without allowance. The minimum and maximum widths of the material in another format class are considered to be greater than 650 mm and lesser than 1900 mm, respectively without allowance. An independent claim is also included for a device for designing a sheet material in a sheet-processing machine.

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zum Auslegen von Bogenmaterial (15) in einer Bogenverarbeitungsmaschine und eine Auslegervorrichtung (1) zum Auslegen von Bogenmaterial (15) in einer Bogenverarbeitungsmaschine. Aufgabe der Erfindung ist es ein Verfahren und eine Auslegervorrichtung zu schaffen, welche eine verbesserte bzw. effektivere Oberflächenbehandlung von Bogenmaterial im Druckbetrieb gestatten. Gelöst wird das dadurch, indem in einer ersten Formatklasse des Bogenmaterials (15) mit einer minimalen Formatbreite von ‰¥ 450 mm und einer maximalen Formatbreite von ‰¤ 1100 mm - ohne zu berücksichtigenden Sicherheitsabstand - die Bogentransportebene (16) zur wenigstens einen Einrichtung zur Oberflächenbehandlung (12; 17) im Abstand mit einer lichten Höhe (H) von ‰¤ 45 mm angeordnet ist, oder dass in einer zweiten Formatklasse des Bogenmaterials (15) mit einer minimalen Formatbreite von ‰¥ 650 mm und einer maximalen Formatbreite von ‰¤ 1900 mm - ohne zu berücksichtigenden Sicherheitsabstand - die Bogentransportebene (16) zur wenigstens einen Einrichtung zur Oberflächenbehandlung (12; 17) im Abstand mit einer lichten Höhe (H) von ‰¤ 65 mm angeordnet ist.
