[origin: WO2012031860A1] An apparatus and a method for circulating process waters from plants for the dust-pressure or fluidized-bed gasification of solid and liquid fuels, wherein the process waters are freed of solids or reduced in their solids content by a pressure filtration unit under process pressure and returned to the consumers, such as raw-gas quenching and scrubbing processes. The solution according to the invention saves the effort required for making good wear on the expansion valves. Reducing the amount of degassing vapours is accompanied by a corresponding reduction in the effort required for handling such vapours. There is no longer any expenditure of energy for raising the pressure of the circulated water to process pressure.
