[origin: EP2711193A1] The device (1) has a detection device (20) detecting a control mark. A releasing agent device disconnects a bookblock and arrangement of printed products. Glue heads (30, 30') are utilized for applying glue on the printed products, where glue application is provided based on a detection signal of the detection device. The control mark is provided on the printed products and located in a foot trimming region. The detection device is provided with two sensors e.g. optical sensors, cameras and/or laser scanners, for detecting the control mark. An independent claim is also included for a method for stacking printed products to manufacture a bookblock.
