[origin: EP2716785A2] The tube annealing furnace (1) comprises furnace housing (2) that is provided with one or more chambers (4) for accommodating the to-be-treated tubes (5). The cross-sectional area of the chamber is slightly larger than the diameter of the to-be-treated tubes so that the to-be-treated tubes are accommodated with a low radial clearance in the chamber. A heating device (12) is provided for heating the to-be-treated tubes. An independent claim is included for method for annealing tube.
