[origin: EP2549341A1] The method involves providing a decoration (1) i.e. time indicator index, having an anterior part (2) and a posterior part (3), which respectively protrude from a trim element and act as an anchoring unit for anchoring the decoration in the element. A master (5) has a hollow cavity (6) adapted to dimensions of the anterior part. The decoration is placed in the master, where the anterior part of the decoration fills the cavity. The master is filled by electrodeposition of a metal (7) for obtaining the trim element. The trim element is removed from the master. An independent claim is also included for a timepiece trim element.
