[origin: EP2777902A1] The apparatus has processing section (2) in which edge (4) of work pieces (3) are processed repeatedly along processing line. A feed device (5) is arranged for feeding work pieces into conveying unit (1) along the conveyance direction. The feed device is adapted to determine the order in which the workpiece are supplied to conveying unit, based on the mass of work pieces. An independent claim is included for a method for processing edges of plate-shaped work pieces.
