Abstract (en)
[origin: WO2016020043A1] The invention relates to an endoscope comprising an endoscope optical unit (10) with an outer tube (12) and a fiber tube (11) which contains an optical system with an objective (22). A window (16) is provided in the end surface (14) at the end region of the outer tube (12), and the objective (22) is aligned in a slanted manner at an angle relative to the longitudinal central axis (13) of the fiber tube (11) so as to point downwards through the window (16). A fiber bundle (17) is arranged above the objective (22) in order to illuminate the region in front of the objective (22). The endscope optical unit (10) or the endoscope is characterized in that the distal end region (18) of the fiber bundle (17) is arranged in the fiber tube (11) in a distal opening (27) surrounded by the material of the fiber tube.
