[origin: WO2017178581A1] The invention relates to a method for cleaning turbine blades (80) of a turbine stage (81), in particular a high-pressure turbine stage, of a jet engine (82). The invention further relates to a device (1) which is particularly suitable for carrying out the method. The method for cleaning turbine blades (80) of a turbine stage (81) of a jet engine (82) has the following steps which are to be carried out one after the other chronologically: a. heating the turbine blades (80) at least in a cleaning region (71); and then b. cleaning the turbine blades (80) by means of high-pressure gas blasting using a cleaning medium comprising solid carbon dioxide in the cleaning region, wherein the cleaning region (71) is the blade surface which can be reached directly by the compressed gas jet. The device (1) according to the invention for cleaning turbine blades (80) of a turbine stage (81) of a jet engine (82), in particular using a method according to one of the previous claims, comprises a cleaning lance (2) with an outlet opening (3) at one end (4), said outlet opening being designed for high-pressure gas blasting using a cleaning medium comprising solid carbon dioxide, and a supply connection (5) for supplying cleaning medium at the other end, said lance being designed to be introduced into a jet engine (82) through a lateral opening (83) such that the outlet opening (3) can be oriented towards a turbine blade (80) of a turbine stage (82).
