The ring spinning machine (1) has a plurality of spinning stations (2). Each spinning station (2) is provided with at least one spindle (8), wherein each spindle (8) is assembled with a bobbin (7). The maintenance carriage (9) travels backand forth along a plurality of spinning stations (2) on one side of the ring spinning machine (1) and is positioned in the front of the spindle (8) in the event of a wire breakage. According to the invention, the distance from the maintenance carriage (9) to the spindle (8) is measured by using the at least one inductive sensor (11) with the spindle (8) as a reference.

Es ist ein Verfahren zur Positionierung eines Wartungswagens (9) einer Ringspinnmaschine (1) und eine Ringspinnmaschine (1) offenbart. Die Ringspinnmaschine (1) weist eine Vielzahl von Spinnstellen (2) auf, wobei jede Spinnstelle (2) mindestens eine Spindel (8) aufweist und wobei jede Spindel (8) mit einem Kops (7) bestückbar ist. Der Wartungswagen (9) bewegt sich entlang der Vielzahl der Spinnstellen (2) an einer Seite der Ringspinnmaschine (1) hin- und her und wird im Falle eines Fadenbruchs vor einer Spindel (8) positioniert. Erfindungsgemäss wird der Abstand des Wartungswagens (9) zur Spindel (8) mit mindestens einem induktiven Sensor (11) mit der Spindel (8) als Referenz gemessen.
