Die Erfindung betrifft u.a. eine Vorrichtung zum Wenden von stabförmigen Artikeln (101, 102) der Tabak verarbeitenden Industrie, insbesondere Filterstäben und/oder Zigaretten, mit einer einen Kegelstumpf und einen Kegelstumpfmantel aufweisenden Wendetrommel (20, 22), wobei die Wendetrommel (20, 22) um eine Rotationsachse (38, 48) rotierbar ist oder rotierend angetrieben wird, wobei der Kegelstumpfmantel der Wendetrommel (20, 22) Aufnahmemulden für die stabförmigen Artikel (102) in Umfangsrichtung des Kegelstumpfmantels aufweist. Die Vorrichtung zeichnet sich dadurch aus, dass die Aufnahmemulden auf dem Kegelstumpfmantel derart ausgebildet und angeordnet sind, dass die Muldenmittenlängsachsen der Aufnahmemulden der Wendetrommel (20, 22) und die Rotationsachse (38, 48) der Wendetrommel (20, 22) sich nicht schneiden und/oder bei Anordnung von stabförmigen Artikeln (101, 102) in den Aufnahmemulden der Wendetrommel (20, 22) die Mittenlängsachsen der stabförmigen Artikel (101, 102) und die Rotationsachse (38, 48) der Wendetrommel (20, 22) sich nicht schneiden.
