[origin: WO2018065221A1] The invention relates to a method for producing a well (26) in a valve needle (28) of a valve (24) with a valve seat (30), a sealing ball (32) and a needle guide (34). In the valve (24), a space between the valve seat (30) and the sealing ball (32) forms a valve gap (36) and the needle guide (34) axially moveably supports the valve needle (28). The sealing ball (32) and the valve needle (28) having a needle tip (40) are provided. A well (26) for contacting the sealing ball (32) is generated in the needle tip (40). The well (26) is at least partially impressed by a force effect of the sealing ball (32).
