Abstract (en)
[origin: WO2020064524A1] The invention relates to a safety braking device (32) for a machine tool, for braking a machining tool which is driven by means of a drive unit via an output unit. The safety braking device comprises at least one decoupling device (52), which is provided to decouple the output unit from the drive unit during a braking process in order to reduce the rotation mass to be braked of the output unit. The safety braking device also comprises at least one braking device (42) comprising at least a first braking device part (44) and a second braking device part (46), with the first braking device part being arranged in a substantially rotationally fixed manner on the output unit, and the second braking device part being provided to be arranged in a substantially rotationally fixed manner in relation to the machine tool. The first braking device part and the second braking device part are provided to interact with each other mechanically during a braking process and thus to brake, in particular to stop, the rotation of the output unit. According to the invention, the first braking device part of the braking device is formed integrally with the decoupling device.
