[origin: CA3118181A1] The invention relates to a method for operating a press system, wherein the cartridge device is formed with at least two cartridges. A press device is proposed comprising at least two press pistons which can be operated at different feed speeds. The method has the following steps: - storing a ratio of feed speeds of the press piston in a storage device of the controller on the basis of the second signal (S5); - actuating the at least one drive device by means of the controller in order to move the two press pistons into a start position in which a punch of the first press piston is substantially in contact with the first cartridge of the cartridge device and in which a punch of the second press piston is substantially in contact with the second cartridge of the cartridge device (S7); - actuating the at least one drive device by means of the controller with a ratio of feed speeds for the press piston, said ratio being stored in the storage device of the controller, in the event of a user-side request (S10). The invention additionally relates to a press system for carrying out such a method.
