The table (3, 4) has a front table (3) which receives the cut material (15) and a rear table (4) which receives the goods (2) to be cut, wherein the front table (3) and the rear table (4) can be moved relative to each other in order to form a gap (8) between the front table and the rear table, and the cutting machine (1) has a device which can be operated in at least two different operating modes. In a first operating mode of the device, cut waste (10, 11) arriving through the gap (8) is supplied to a first collecting device (12) by means of the device, and in a second operating mode of the device, cut waste (10, 11) arriving through the gap (8) is supplied to a second collecting device (13) by means of the device.

Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft eine Schneidmaschine (1) zum Schneiden von gestapeltem, blattförmigem Gut (2), mit einem Tisch (3, 4) zur Aufnahme des zu schneidenden Guts (2), wobei der Tisch (3, 4) einen Vordertisch (3), der das geschnittene Gut (15) aufnimmt, und einen Hintertisch (4), der das zu schneidende Gut (2) aufnimmt, aufweist, wobei der Vordertisch (3) und der Hintertisch (4) zueinander verschiebbar sind zur Bildung eines Spalts (8) zwischen diesen, wobei die Schneidmaschine (1) eine in zumindest zwei unterschiedlichen Betriebsmodi betreibbare Einrichtung aufweist, wobei in einem ersten Betriebsmodus der Einrichtung durch den Spalt (8) gelangender Schnittabfall (10, 11) mittels der Einrichtung einer ersten Sammeleinrichtung (12) zugeführt wird und in einem zweiten Betriebsmodus der Einrichtung durch den Spalt (8) gelangender Schnittabfall (10, 11) mittels der Einrichtung einer zweiten Sammeleinrichtung (13) zugeführt wird.
