Die Erfindung betrifft eine Verpackungsanlage (1), die eine Tiefziehverpackungsmaschine (2), die dazu ausgebildet ist, in einer Produktionsrichtung (P) Verpackungen (V) herzustellen, sowie ein Zuführsystem (3) für die Tiefziehverpackungsmaschine (2) umfasst, wobei das Zuführsystem (3) mindestens eine Transportbandeinrichtung (16) aufweist, die dazu konfiguriert ist, in einer quer zur Produktionsrichtung (P) der Tiefziehverpackungsmaschine (2) verlaufenden Transportrichtung (T) Kartonzuschnitte (K) in einen innerhalb eines Maschinenrahmens (8) der Tiefziehverpackungsmaschine (2) ausgebildeten Übergabebereich (18) zu transportieren, und wobei das Zuführsystem (3) eine im Übergabebereich (18) angeordnete Hubeinrichtung (19) zum Aufnehmen und Anheben der mittels der Transportbandeinrichtung (16) in den Übergabebereich (18) transportierten Kartonzuschnitte (K) umfasst, wobei die Hubeinrichtung (19) mehrere in Transportrichtung (T) hintereinander positionierte, unabhängig voneinander ansteuerbare Hubeinheiten (19A, 19B, 19C, 19D) aufweist. Ferner bezieht sich die Erfindung auf ein dementsprechendes Verfahren.
