[origin: WO2022043073A1] The invention relates to a method for releasing a screw connection (6) between core drilling equipment (1) and a drill bit (6). The screw connection is released by applying torque peaks to the drive shaft (3) of the core drilling equipment, said peaks being produced when the drive shaft is driven against the actual drilling direction of the core drilling equipment. A second aspect of the invention relates to core drilling equipment (1), by means of which the proposed method can be carried out. Another aspect the invention relates to a method for controlling core drilling equipment (1), wherein the reversal of the rotational direction of a driveshaft of the core drilling equipment and the application of torque peaks to the drive shaft are combined together such that a screw connection between the core drilling equipment and a drill bit can be released by the combination of the rotational direction reversal and the torque peaks.
