The recesses are opened on a lower face (14) of the base element (10) in particular by using laser radiation. The invention also relates in particular to a mould element produced by means of this method, which mould element has recesses (14) like the base element (10). Each of the recesses (14) has openings (26) in the lower face (24) of the base element (10).
