[origin: WO2022084116A1] The invention relates to a downstream unit (1) in an extrusion line, comprising a vacuum tank (2) for calibrating an extruded plastic product, in particular a plastic tube. The vacuum tank (2) consists of at least one upper part (5) and a lower part (6), and the vacuum tank (2) has a water inlet (9) and a water outlet (10), wherein the upper part (5) is designed such that the upper part has a region (16) in which a water volume (16a) can be stored and a region (11) in which an air volume can be provided. The invention additionally relates to a corresponding method.
