[origin: WO2022207027A1] A method for automatically analysing a circuit diagram, comprising: • - applying one or more filters to a circuit diagram in order to identify a circuit symbol defined by the respective filter in the circuit diagram (210); • - applying one or more detectors to the circuit diagram in order to identify connections between the circuit symbols (220); • - determining those identified circuit symbols that are coupled to one another by means of the identified connections (230, 310-340); and • - for each of the identified circuit symbols, using a data structure of the identified circuit symbol to store a reference to every further circuit symbol coupled to this identified circuit symbol (240). A corresponding device is also described.
