[origin: WO2023280616A1] The invention relates to a training apparatus comprising: a treadmill having a movable track for walking or running; a guide arrangement arranged substantially parallel to the movable track; a carriage which is mounted displaceably on the guide arrangement and which has a grip; and a weight, wherein the carriage is coupled to the weight in such a way that it can be displaced against the weight along the guide arrangement in the walking or running direction and as a result loading of the carriage is simulated, wherein the force to be exerted on the carriage for displacement by a user in the walking or running direction depends on the simulated loading of the carriage. The invention further relates to the use of the apparatus.
