In this way, when the air pressure in the liquid storage cavity (53) is greater than the external air pressure and a positive pressure difference is formed, the positive pressure difference presses an aerosol-forming substrate in the liquid storage cavity (53) into the liquid storage space by means of the pressure relief hole (114), so that the internal air pressure of the atomizer and the external air pressure reach a balanced state. However, when the air pressure in the liquid storage cavity (53) is greater than the external air pressure and a negative pressure difference is formed, the negative pressure difference presses an aerosol-forming substrate in the liquid storage space back into the liquid storage cavity (53) by means of the pressure relief hole (114), so that the internal air pressure of the atomizer and the external air pressure reach a balanced state.
